Pumpkin Contest
Hosted by the Prairie Valley Library
Get ready for the Annual Prairie Valley Pumpkin Contest. Bring decorated pumpkins to
the Prairie Valley library the week of Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025—Friday, Oct. 31, 2025
and carved pumpkins, Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 – Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. They will
need to be taken home with your child after school on Friday; they can not be left here to
rot over the weekend. Any pumpkins left at school will be thrown in the dumpster.
RULES
1. Carved or decorated pumpkins for all grades
2. Keep it school-appropriate
3. Pumpkins must be done by you at home (parents/guardians may help)
4. Put your name (small) on the bottom of your pumpkin
Prairie Valley 7th grader, Kai Kutie, has been busy over the past few months racing all over the country. Here are his results:
1st place wins:TX State Time Trial Championships, Wrong Turn TX State Criterium Championships, HHH Mountain Bike, Cycle 66 Junior Criterium, Oatmeal Classic TX State Road Bike Championships
2nd place wins: TX State Cyclocross Championships
BMX:
2024 and 2025 South Central Gold Cup 3rd place
2024 TX State 1st place
