It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Prairie Valley Independent School District. Prairie Valley ISD is an exceptional district with a safe, positive and enthusiastic approach to learning. Prairie Valley is nestled in the beautiful landscape of the North Texas Hill Country approximately halfway between Gainesville and Wichita Falls and a few miles north of Nocona on FM103 in Montague County. Prairie Valley enjoys the small atmosphere of a rural community, and embraces small town traditional Texas values: family, community, and parental involvement. All of this while still having the resources of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex within a short drive. We offer multiple transportation options, excellent academic, career-technical, and extracurricular programs. Our teams and students are consistently advancing to the state playoffs, academic contests, and agricultural science contests. They do this while achieving the highest academic ratings the state of Texas can give a district: “A”.

We are blessed with tremendous support of parents, community and area businesses. Prairie Valley graduates have a long history of achievement in many fields including: veterinary science, teaching, counseling, nursing, automotive mechanics, fire science, and construction to name a few. We would like to invite you to visit our district so that you may experience the excitement and pride of being a Prairie Valley Bulldog!
