It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Prairie Valley Independent School District. Prairie Valley ISD is an exceptional district with a safe, positive, and enthusiastic approach to learning. Prairie Valley is located in the rolling hills of North Central Texas approximately halfway between Wichita Falls and Gainesville a few miles north of Nocona on FM 103 in Montague County. Prairie Valley has a small school atmosphere which emphasises small town traditional Texas and American values: family, community, and parent involvement. We are also close enough to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex which allows us to utilize their resources as desired. PV offers multiple transportation options for all students including a town bus stop just seven miles south of the school. 

Prairie Valley's academics has long been and continues to be extremely strong while also fielding very competitive sports, fine arts, and academic teams. We have had multiple teams and individuals qualify for district, regional, and state competitions. Starting in 2025 Prairie Valley will add football to our extracurricular activities. Recently we have added rodeo, choir, cheer-pups, law enforcement and accounting classes. We were also the first district in the area to implement the 4-day week. 

Prairie Valley graduates have a long history of achievement in Montague County and across Texas. They are leaders in veterinary science, teaching, nursing, counseling, automotive mechanics, fire science, and construction to name a few. We invite everyone to visit our district and see what Prairie Valley has to offer our parents, potential students, and members of the community.
