The process for filing financial aid applications changed during the fall of 2016. All students who plan to enroll in a college/university in the fall of 2018 may complete a Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) during the fall of 2017. The 2018-2019 FAFSA application will be available on/after October 1. Colleges and universities will begin processing the FAFSA by mid-November and will advise students if additional information or documentation is needed. Information from the 2016 income tax forms (called tax transcript) will be used to complete the FAFSA through a link called Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) that accesses 2016 tax information already on file with the Internal Revenue Service. Early submissions of FAFSAs will allow colleges/universities to determine financial aid eligibility earlier than usual. Students and parents will be informed earlier about financial aid eligibility. All students and at least one parent need to register for an FSA ID . These IDs allow the student to file the FAFSA electronically. If the parent has already completed a FAFSA for previous family members and has an . . .read more

Section 1111(h)(2) of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires each local education agency (LEA) that receives Title I, Part A funding to disseminate specific LEA- and campus-level data to 1) all LEA campuses, 2) parents of all enrolled students, and 3) to make the information widely available through public means such as posting on the internet, distribution to the media, or distribution through public agencies. To meet this requirement the Texas Education Agency (TEA) provides these statistics at the state level and for each district or campus that is required. Click here to navigate the NCLB Report Card on the TEA webpage and then click either the District or Campus Level. From there check the District Name and scroll to the bottom and enter Prairie Valley in the text box, then continue. The NCLB Report card will then open into Adobe Reader.
