Grading Policy:
Students will be required to take the TAKS Science Test in the
spring of their tenth and eleventh (exit level) grade years.
Science course work will need to be very fast paced. Science course
work is divided into two categories; their grade weighting and
definition are listed below.
35% Assignments: include but are not limited to the following:
Homework Assignments
Math/Science Skill Worksheets
Lab Reports
Quizzes
Class Notes
Chapter Review Worksheets
Chapter Loop
65% Tests Chapter
Classroom Rules:
1. Respect others.
2. Be prepared for class.
3. Keep the classroom safe.
4. Keep the classroom clean.
Daily Discipline:
The following procedures will be followed if a rule is broken
(please note that in severe classroom disruption or repetitive
disruptions, steps 1 and 2 will be omitted):
1st offense—Points deducted from conduct grade.
2nd offense—Student serves lunch detention.
3rd offense—Disciplinary referral to principal’s office.
