Meet Mrs. Waters

Hello!  My name is Barbara Waters.  Let me tell you a little about myself.  I graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana with a B.A. degree in Preprofessional Speech Pathology and Elementary Education.  I also have my Master's degree in Reading from North Texas State University.

     I am married to Norman Waters and we have 2 grown children.  Our son Ben is married to Julie, and they live in Houston.  Our daughter Bonnie teaches first grade in Bridgeport. 

     I have worked for the Montague Special Classes Coop and for Lake Dallas Elementary and Nocona Elementary.  This is the fifteenth year that I have been privileged to teach at Prairie Valley.  

     A favorite quote of mine is, "A child is not clay to be molded, but a flower to be unfolded."  I look forward to seeing each child's talents unfold as we go through this year.
