Applying for Texas Colleges Made Easy
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has made applying to Texas public colleges and universities very simple by providing a common application at Apply Texas. Students are able to complete a common application that most universities accept and are able to submit that application as well as required essays online. In addition to the entrance application, most colleges have attached a scholarship application. Students are able to save their completed applications to submit to additional colleges as needed.
The THECB also maintains a web site with useful information and links for students and parents. One feature of this web site is a list of possible scholarships/grants available to Texas students. Included on that web site are links to colleges and universities within Texas for additional information and deadlines.
